Albion Center for Professional Development Launches $240,000 in Scholarship Funding to Empower Future Education Leaders
April 7, 2025

Idaho State University’s Albion Center for Professional Development proudly announces a new scholarship aimed at developing and equipping future leaders in education, while helping to ease the financial burden of a graduate education.
The Albion Center Scholarship for Educator Excellence will be awarded to 30 students, providing support to recipients pursuing 100% online master’s degrees in a variety of specialized fields. These fields include Master of Education (MEd) in Elementary Education, Instructional Design and Technology, Secondary Education, P-12 Education Administration, School Psychological Examiner, or Special Education, and also the Master of Science (MS) in Deaf Education and Master of Arts (MA) in Athletic Administration.
The scholarship offers a valuable financial opportunity for educators seeking to expand their expertise and advance their careers.
“Educators play a critical role in shaping the future, and they deserve access to opportunities that support their growth and success," said Gabriel Rodriguez, managing director for the Albion Center for Professional Development. "The Albion Center Scholarship for Educator Excellence is our way of investing in those who dedicate their lives to teaching.”
Recipients can receive up to $4,000 per semester, full-time and up to $2,000 per semester, part-time with a lifetime maximum of $16,000 to be used towards tuition. The scholarship is renewable for up to four years or until the student completes the program, as long as they continue to meet eligibility requirements. A total of $240,000 will be provided by the Albion Center for the academic year 2025/2026.
Applicants must be an Albion Center student who has registered for and completed at least one course between September 1, 2023 - June 1, 2025, and must be able to upload an Albion transcript as part of their scholarship application.
Consideration will only be given based on an applicant’s current state of residence and/or workplace location in the following states: Alaska, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, and Ohio.
Additionally, applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in an education-related field with a minimum 3.0 GPA, and be able to meet all Idaho State University Graduate School admissions and scholarship requirements. A separate process to apply to the ISU Graduate School, including submitting official transcripts, will be required.
The Albion Center for Professional Development is committed to providing educators with the skills and knowledge necessary for success in K-12 education. The Albion Center Scholarship for Educator Excellence reflects this commitment by making graduate degrees more accessible to both in-state and out-of-state students, helping them step into leadership roles, boost their earning potential, and improve their overall quality of life.
Out-of-state students will be eligible for in-state tuition rate and can learn more by visiting isu.edu/tuition. Graduate program applications to the College of Education are free. Space will be limited to 30 recipients for the fall 2025 semester.
